Large landowners and consultants meet regularly with government officials to advocate for their projects but good decisions are based on having a big picture view. Someone needs to do the research, come up with alternatives, and provide information to both decision makers and the public. On Maui, that “someone” is Maui Tomorrow.

Our county council and state legislators can’t research every issue that comes before them; there’s just not enough time. But Maui Tomorrow has the archives, does the research, and prepares the recommendations to address environmental and planning issues in the best interests of our community, we provide well-reasoned and balanced facts to our elected officials so that they are fully informed before decisions are made.

Our island deserves careful planning and long-range decisions to provide a quality of life for the people of Maui Nui to enjoy now and for generations to come and Maui Tomorrow is doing just that… Protecting Maui’s Future.
