“Is anyone satisfied with the layout of Kīhei?” asked Kīhei Community Association (KCA) Vice President Mike Moran. “Does it seem like it was planned out in a reasonable manner?”
If your answer is “no,” be aware that the Maui Island Plan is before the Maui County Council, which will soon make its final determinations.
Researcher, author and General Plan Advisory Committee Member Lucienne de Naie and members of the Maui County Long Range Planning Committee will discuss the Maui Island Plan at the next KCA meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Kīhei Charter Middle School Campus, 41 East Līpoa St.
KCA meetings offer an opportunity each month to broach topics that our community considers important and relevant, and question-and-answer sessions with the island’s various experts.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for talk story before meeting begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Donations of non-perishable food for the Maui Food Bank are encouraged.
Make Kīhei a better place to live and visit by participating with your community every month. Next month’s meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 18, will examine commercial development in North Kīhei.
