Help Protect Our Streams!

Maui Tomorrowʻs legal team has been fighting for years to have Hawaiiʻs Public Trust laws upheld, and our streams restored in East Maui. Come show your support as we go before the state Water Commission!

East Maui Streamflow Contested Case Hearing

No public testimony will be taken, but we can still show our support!

When water leases were originally granted to sugar plantations, they were supposed to leave enough for taro farming and domestic use. Over time, Alexander and Baldwin took more and more, until the streams went dry. Now that sugar is gone, A&B wants to keep most of the water anyway, even though they are not actually farming much of anything, and are now a real estate company.

A&Bʻs fake farm plan does not justify the continued theft of water from kalo farmers and native stream life. After over a century of wrong, it is time to make it right.

Wear blue to support our streams.

Make a sign.

Come early and show your support!
