Friday October 7, 2011 – Second Reading of Bill to Repeal Ban on Human consumption of Hamakuapoko Well Water at Maui County Council
Sign up for testimony begins about 8:30am on the 8th floor of the County Building on High Street in Wailuku.
The bill will repeal the ban on human consumption of the Hamakuapoko Well water that is currently law.
Maui Tomorrow supports Elle Cochran’s amendment which would not repeal the ban, but rather authorize the County to trade Hamakuapoko water for water at Kamole Weir.

October 5, 2011 at 11:44 amNote that HI standards allow 400ppt DBCP but Calif is going to 4ppt. Upcountry will be getting 100 times the dose. And can GAC filters even bring it down to 4ppt if they wanted to?
