Elle Cochran has proposed funding for water reuse development in Central Maui, with additional funding to extend the R-1 line in West Maui.  See Elle Cochran’s Budget proposal – pages 23 and 24

Those in favor of reuse instead of injecting waste water can give testimony in support of this request Tuesday through Thursday (May 3-5) .

Councilmember Cochran’s water re-use funding can be found on pages 23 and 24 and  The option of creating the new R1 line to go to the ML&P land and HC&S seed cane fields is the least expensive and least disruptive option for the Central Maui recycled water.
