Lingle Appointees Refuse to Resign

Jerry Edlao and David Goode, appointed to the Board of Land and Natural Resources by Governor Lingle  have refused Gov. Abercrombie’s request that they resign. David Goode is also serving as the Maui County director of public works and has to interface with DLNR as part of his paid job.

Broadband Attached to Big Wind Cable?

Gov. Neil Abercrombie today signed a bill into law to temporarily exempt the development of broadband infrastructure from state and county permitting requirements. The law allows for permitting exemptions for five years – from 2012 to 2017 – on broadband upgrades on existing utility poles and conduits used for telecommunications.
