Texas-based Sarofim Realty Advisors has submitted an environmental impact statement preparation notice to the state outlining plans for its Piilani Promenade mixed-use project on Maui that would include about 200 apartment units along with light industrial and business and commercial uses on around 75 acres in Kihei.  Following is their press release:

Piilani Promenade Community Meeting Set

(Kihei-HI)       The owners of Piilani Promenade, Sarofim Realty Advisors, invite the community to attend an informational meeting to learn about the project.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 5, from 6-8 pm at the Kihei Community Center, 303 E. Lipoa Street, and follows meetings with community organizations over the past several months.

Among the topics to be addressed are the new mixed-use project design and concepts, smart growth plans, including walking and bike paths, park and gathering places, water improvements for South Maui, new rental and affordable housing, future job projections and the start of the Upcountry highway.

Chili and rice will be provided by Three’s Bar and Grill. Vegetarian chili will also be available.
