BIG VICTORY for AG LANDS on the NORTH SHORE!

The Planning Director’s Proposed Revisions to ADD 507 ACRES of AG land to the Rural Growth Boundaries WAS NOT ADOPTED by the Committee. Wooo Hoooo!!

While a select handful of smaller properties were included in the Rural Growth Boundaries (Lumeria, Old Mauna ‘Olu College Site, Jehovah Witness Hall, etc.) the 4 LARGE SUBDIVISIONS (Mauna ‘Olu, Haiku Makai, Haiku Hill, and Haiku Mauka) proposed to be placed within a Rural Growth Boundary will REMAIN IN AGRICULTURE.

In addition, the NORTH SHORE PRESERVATION CORRIDOR was ADOPTED & GIGGLE HILL WAS PUT IN PRESERVATION.

NICE ; )

BIG MAHALO to the General Plan Committee for SHOWING YOUR SUPPORT for NORTH SHORE AG LANDS & OPEN SPACE! Special shout out to Council Member, Mike White, for listening & acting on what the North Shore residents asked for.
