Invasive Species As A Sustainability Concern

Upcountry Sustainability hosts an evening of presentations on invasive species on Maui: PRESENT & FUTURE THREATS.

On October 3, at 7 pm, at the Multi-purpose Poolroom at the Tavares Community Center in Pukalani (across from Foodland), the public is invited to the US monthly meeting.

INVASIVE SPECIES PRESENTERS:

~ LISSA FOX, of Maui Invasive Species Committee, speaking on Miconia, Strawberry Guava, Ohia Rust and the Little Fire Ant

~ MARK & LEAH DAMON, of Maui Bee Farm, speaking on present and feared threats to feral and managed honeybees

~ ANNE GACHUHI, of the Home Gardening Support Network, speaking on 5 major insect pests of vegetables

~ LOKAHI SYLVA, of Maui Deer Culling, LLC and PHYLLIS ROBINSON, Board of Water Supply Chair, speaking on Axis Deer
