Maui Time Weekly posted an article listing planned developments that it felt bore watching for their impacts on growth and quality of life.  Their “Dirty Dozen” included:

1. Waiale Community Development Project 2500 unit
2. Mike Atherton’s proposed 900 to 1,100-unit project near the Maui Tropical Plantation
3. Wailea 670: 1,150 units near Maui Meadows
4. Maui Technology Park 1,000 residential units
5. Kaonoulu Ranch
6. Ohukai in Kihei
7. A&B  600 units in North Kihei
8. Pulelehua: 1,000 units near the Kapalua airport
9. Kaanapali 2020: 900+ units
10. Amfac’s  Pioneer Mill 1,100 units
11. Hawaiian Homelands aprox. 2000 south of the Lahaina Civic Center.
12.  Olowalu 1,500 units.
