You now have until February 6, 2014 to send in your comments on the Pu’unani Sub-division EIS Preparation Notice. Your emphasis should be on asking questions and raising issues that the Environmental Impact Statement should consider and address.
Issues like: drainage, view planes, schools at all levels (pre-school, elementary, middle, and high), traffic, water sources, water delivery system, open space, parks, important agricultural lands, intersections, housing density, affordable housing, historical sites, fire and police protection, impacts on each of the adjoining neighborhoods, impacts from other nearby developments (A&B’s Waiale – 2,550 units, Waikapu Town Development – 1,450 units, Kehalani and Maui Lani’s future housing – 1,800+ units), etc.
Just ask the questions that you want them to answer; no need at this time to give testimony or to present arguments.
